Did Kesha lie about being assaulted by Dr. Luke?

Did Kesha lie about being assaulted by Dr. Luke? According to a report by TMZ, they have uncovered a video where in a deposition made in 2011, Kesha flatly denied that she was a sexually assaulted by Dr Luke. However, fast forward to 2016 and she is accusing Dr Ken of drugging and raping her. It is possible that Kesha was afraid to admit to this at the time, after all whe was in the prime of her career and if the incidents did occur, they didn't seem to bother her then.

The question I have is why not make a formal police report of sexual assault by Dr Ken? Afterll Bill Cosby is before the courts right now for alleged assault that occurred a decade ago. I don't know the answer. Maybe she was raped and drugged maybe she wasn't. The only way to get to the bottom of these allegations is in a court of law dealing with te specific issue and not as a side isse to getting out of a contract.

Oscars so white a reflection of society?

Is the   "Oscars so white" a reflection of society? Will Smith seems to think so and I am sure many will agree. In an interview with Good Morning Britain, Will Smith sees the "Oscars whitewashing" as a microcosm  of American society. He pointed out that in the past he has been nominated twice and never lost an Oscar to a white actor.  The issue he sees as a "regression" reflecting a social regression occurring in America. The all white actors nominated for Oscars this year has led to the resurgence of the "Oscar so white" twitter protest movement.

A child for Tyra Banks - Finally!

Supermodel and talk show host Tyra Banks has her "miracle baby" as she calls it. Born via a surrogate, Tyra Banks was more than thrilled at the birth of her first child - a son wirh her photographer partner Erik Asia. Tyra made no secret about her problems with infertility. Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street charged with assaulting father

She was a popular and charming gold medal skier winning the super G at the 1998 Winter Olympics and was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame in 2004. She was charged with domestic violence and assault following a dispute with her 76 year old father. According to reports Picabo alegedly pushed her father down the stairs then locked him in the basement. It was also reported that the incident was witnessed by her three children. She has preaded not guilty to the chargesand will have a pretrial hearing on Feburary 16th.

Jennifer Lawrence was rude to reporter

I never understood what the fuss about Jennifer Lawrence was all about. Yes she meets the Hollywood standard of beauty and they say she is talented, i just never noticed what I noticed was her rude response to a reporter who was just doing his job. I guess there are a few talents she still has to acquire - like being kind.

Backstage at the Golden Globes Actress Jennifer Lawrence called out a reporter because he was on his phone when asking a question.  "You can't live your whole life behind your phone, bro," she said. "You can't do that. You've got to live in the now." she said and when he mentioned  the "Oscar", she quickly cut him off saying,  "We're at the Golden Globes," she added. "If you put your phone down you'd know that."

Now it is possible that the reporter was reading his questions off the phone as everyone does these days, It is also possible, due to the fact that it was obvious that English is not his first language, he got the award names mixed up. Perhaps Jennifer Lawrence is spending too much time with her BFF Amy and thinks she is now a comedian. My message to Jennifer - now that you have it all, be nice!

A Twitter meltdown and Tinder CEO fired

There was a time when CEOs used to be older, more polished, and hopefully smart men. But all of that has changed in the digital age. The CEO's are still mostly male but they are much younger and lets just say, not quite as sophisticated as their older counterparts. Tinder, the dating app for those who may be still living in the age of dinosaurs, was so upset with a story by Vanity Fair, criticizing the dating site that someone from Tinder went on a rampage.  There ere thirty tweets posted in less than an hour in response to the article entitled  "Tinder and the Dawn of the Dating Apocalypse" Now we don't know for sure if the Twitter meltdown had anything to do with the CEO Chris Payne or his removal from the position. However, just a few days after the Twitter rant, the CEO has been replaced. According to Tinder director Matt Cohler, it was a greed that it was agreed mutually, that it wasn't the right long term fit.

Ever since Ben Affleck thanked his wife Jennifer Garner at the Oscars for "working on their marriage", we knew that all was not well with  the seemingly happy couple. After all, you work on a marriage to keep it together and it was clear in the days to follow that Jennifer was not happy with Ben's loose lips. The couple are parents to three children ages 9, 6 and 3. Apparently the couple has been living apart for several months. The paparazzi has to do a  better job of informing us about these celebrity happenings.

Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke found guilty

Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke have been found guilty by a Los Angeles jury of copying Marvin's Gaye song to create the mega 2013 hit Blurred Lines. The pair must pay the Gaye family over 7 million dollars. This is not good for Pharrell Williams, the music mogul and The Voice judge who won several Grammy Awards. Robin Thicke, on the other hand had already said in court that he was drunk or on drugs when he co-wrote the song.

The duo was accused by the family of Marvin Gaye, of copying his 1970 music, "Got to give it up". This is not the first time for a copying lawsuit in the music industry and it could be a deliberate act or not. Pharrell Williams said that while he knew Marvin's Gaye's song as a youth, he did not copy any of it in Blurred Lines. The jury disagreed. Here are the two songs. I don't really see the similarities but then I am no expert in these things. What do you think?
